Notes From Pastor Dave
December, 2022
“His Name is Jesus” is our theme this Advent season as we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Savior. Every name has a meaning attached to it, especially seen over centuries of our Judeo-Christian heritage. Perhaps you know the meaning of your name and why it was given to you. Some of the most familiar names ascribed to Jesus during this season are Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Prince of Peace. Yet, many in our current post-Christian culture have no idea Who the Christ of Christmas is, why His Name is Jesus, and why we celebrate Him.
Please join us in person or online as we consider some of the Biblical words that are used in and around the Christmas story to describe exactly Who Jesus is. It is my prayer that this series of Messages will help us to more deeply understand the “indescribable” gift that was given to us that we might know God personally. If you miss some of these Christmas messages, remember you can “catch up” via the pages on our Website, Facebook, or YouTube, listed below. I hope you can join us for the opportunities before us yet this season, both in-person and on Zoom:
Sunday, December 18 – 10:00 a.m. Worship Service and Children’s Christmas Presentation
Saturday, December 24 – 6:00 p.m. Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
Please note that this will be our only in-person and streamed Worship Service during Christmas weekend and the last Worship Service this year
Sunday, January 1 – 10:00 a.m. Worship Service and Communion
May God bless you and your loved ones and fill you with Joy in Jesus this Christmas!
